Women Looking To Be Hanged
5 de febrero de 2008
Queridos compañeros y compañeras in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and our Americas: We express our deepest thanks and eternal gratitude to you and all organizations (artists and media included) that during the past two months generously joined a glorious campaign to support our behalf. However, we know that the campaign has left traces that are of superior value in terms of resistance, as together with the help that it was conferred at the beginning of a decisive action of human fellowship for Freedom and Dignity Village Puerto Rican.
is precisely the principles of the brotherhood physically distant or immediate, or Caribbean American, which according to our Julia de Burgos "make the nation a common home." You all have been felt with aplomb. The excitement of this support has accelerated our minds, of our families and friends. Moreover, such support has not only validated the indelible ties between the great Puerto Rican family on the island and the diaspora, but the blessing of international solidarity that has never been absent. Our commitment to Puerto Rican homeland has energized naturally. Every word of encouragement, every hug filled with love and tenderness in your eyes are pure expressions of friendship and the expression of a sister nation. Your love has also made us remember those who through history have had to face the shame of a legal process as arbitrary and illegal as a Grand Jury, a radical tool of coercion that international law despite the brazenly manipulated throughout history by the government U.S. against the people of Puerto Rican patriot, in an effort absurd and useless to pursue and intimidate all who love freedom and peace with justice. "strengthens and sweetens Feeling loved," he once wrote the Cuban national hero José Julián Martí Pérez. He also noted that "love is repaid with love."
why these words are a humble sincere attempt to record our thanks now and forever. Those who now endorse this letter of gratitude we know the value that encloses the reciprocity and love of country. not know what other intentions sinister hides the U.S. government in its agenda against the people of Puerto Rican patriot short or long term. Yet we know about the illegality that represent 110 years of colonialism and our ideals we are redeemable. We also have the conviction that never hesitate to do it our patriotic duty to join or start a campaign to fight for freedom and dignity of the people of Puerto Rico if - in the midst of this perpetual witch hunt against independence - to become a Grand Jury U.S. government to lash out against any partner or co-Boricua.
We are comforted to know that the people of Segundo Ruiz Belvis, in the diaspora or in the very same moon, the Puerto Rican nation will always illuminate the same light from the window. . . of liberty. Thanks and Pa'lante forever, because for the Homeland "[n] o give everything, is a must go for it. Is an imperative." (Julia Constancia Burgos García).
Viva free Puerto Rico! Tania Frontera
